About Ocean Animals bingo
An ocean animal list that moves from the surface to the deep: Dolphin, Sea otter and Flying fish near the top, Coral reef residents like Clownfish, Parrotfish and Seahorse, and deep-sea animals such as Anglerfish. It also names the habitats, including Kelp forest, Coral reef and Tide pool, which makes it useful for science units on marine life.
42 entries make up this Ocean Animals set. With 24 per card, any single one, Tide pool for example, appears on about 57% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 17 of them have it.
The caller reads the 42 entries from a shuffled caller sheet and players mark them; the first complete line (row, column or diagonal) wins.

How to host Ocean Animals bingo
-
Print the Ocean Animals cards
Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Great white shark, Sea star, Hammerhead shark, Tide pool and Parrotfish.
-
Print the caller sheet
All 42 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Crab, Sea urchin, Manta ray, Lobster and Swordfish; tick each one as you read it out.
-
Call habitats as group calls: when you read Coral reef, ask players which reef animals they already have marked, such as Clownfish or Parrotfish.
-
Keep Krill, Plankton and Nudibranch for older classes; younger children recognize Octopus, Crab and Jellyfish instantly, so make a 4x4 version for them.
-
Pair the game with a quick size question: is a Whale shark a whale or a shark? It is a shark, the largest fish in the sea.
-
Call until someone shouts bingo
With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 12 (Orca in this set's order) and a blackout near call 38; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.
Ocean Animals bingo variations
-
Ocean Animals variation
Ocean zones: draw three bands on the board (sunlit, twilight, deep). Each time you call an animal, players shout the zone where it lives; Anglerfish goes deep, Sea turtle stays near the top.
-
Blackout round
Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Great white shark to Lobster; on average one card fills after 41.3 of the 42 calls (98% of the deck).
-
Picture bingo for pre-readers
Use 3x3 cards with the 15 entries that have a symbol, such as Blue whale, Humpback whale and Dolphin.

Can I print Ocean Animals bingo cards for free?
Yes, up to 30 unique cards per set at no cost and without an account. Pick how many you need, then use Print cards or Download PDF: each card gets its own page with the title “Ocean Animals Bingo” on top, and the caller sheet lists all 42 entries in this set's shuffled order.
How do I make my own Ocean Animals bingo cards?
Start from this list: the 42 entries are already in the generator, so delete Parrotfish or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
Is there a picture version of Ocean Animals bingo?
15 of the 42 entries have a picture symbol (🐋 Blue whale, 🐳 Humpback whale, 🐬 Dolphin, 🦈 Great white shark). Print 3x3 cards with symbol entries such as Octopus and Squid for children who cannot read yet; symbols show on screen and in browser printing.
