Caller sheet
Every call in a shuffled order. Tick each one as you read it out; the same share link always gives the same order.

About Road Trip bingo
Road Trip Bingo is made for long drives with older kids, teens and adults. Instead of simple colors and vehicles, it looks for the landmarks of a real journey: an “Out-of-state plate”, a “State line sign”, a “Giant roadside statue”, a “Historical marker” or a “Fruit stand”. Trip moments like a “Wrong turn” and the “Low fuel light” add some humor.
43 moments make up this Road Trip set. With 24 per card, any single one, “Historical marker” for example, appears on about 56% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 17 of them have it.
There is no caller: everyone marks a square the moment it happens or is said, such as “Fruit stand” or “Detour sign”. The first complete line wins; the caller sheet is the host's checklist.

How many moments until Road Trip bingo has a winner
Nobody controls the order here, so this table assumes the 43 moments come up in random order: 150 shuffled orders on the first 60 cards of this set. With 30 players the first line comes after a median 12 moments; a blackout needs 39 of the 43, so most games end on a line.
| Players | First line | Line, 80% range | Blackout | Blackout, 80% range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 players | 15 moments | 11-19 | 40 moments | 38-42 |

How to play Road Trip bingo
-
Print the Road Trip cards
Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with “Fruit stand”, “RV”, “Gas station stop”, “State line sign” and “Railroad crossing”.
-
Watch and mark, no caller needed
Players mark a square the moment it happens or is said, “Fruit stand” for example. Keep the shuffled caller sheet (opening with “Roadside diner”, “Car wash” and “RV”) as your checklist, or read from it to run a called game instead.
-
Give each passenger their own card and let the driver call out “Toll booth” or “Railroad crossing” so they can join in without looking away from the road.
-
On interstate days, “Rest area”, “Billboard” and “Semi truck” fill quickly, so play blackout instead of a single line.
-
For multi-day trips, print a fresh card each morning with a new seed so the same “Red barn” is not marked twice.
-
Check the winning line
If the moments come in random order, 30 players see a first line after about 12 of them; ask the winner when each square on the line happened and compare with your checklist.
Road Trip bingo variations
-
Road Trip variation
Mile tally: each completed line earns a point, and the passenger with the most points at the end of the day chooses the next “Roadside diner” or the music for the next hour.
-
Blackout round
Card 1 needs all 24 moments, “Fruit stand” to “Bug on the windshield”; if they come in random order, one card fills after 42.2 of the 43 on average, so save it for a long event.
-
Quick 4x4 round
A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 43 moments and no free space; one card is full after about 41.4 moments instead of 42.2.
First 15 entries on the Road Trip caller sheet
Seed "road-trip" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints (use it as a checklist, or call from it). With these entries in this order, card 23 of the first 30 completes the N column (“Rest area”, “Roadside diner”, “Cows in a field” and “Camper van”) on entry 14, and card 29 is the first full card on entry 38.

Frequently asked questions
How many moments are on the Road Trip bingo list?
43, from Bathroom break to Wrong turn. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 19. The shortest entry is RV (2 characters) and the longest is Giant roadside statue (21).
Are all Road Trip bingo cards the same?
No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 12 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 4.97 × 10³⁵ different arrangements are possible from the 43 moments (800,472,431,850 different selections of 24).
How many Road Trip bingo cards per person?
Usually one. Extra cards speed the game up only a little: on this list a first line took a median 12 moments with 30 cards in play, 11 with 60 (30 players on two cards each) and 15 with just 10. Two cards each suit a small group that wants a quicker game. A free set of 30 covers 15 players on two cards each.
How do you play Road Trip bingo?
There is no caller: everyone marks a square the moment it happens or is said, such as “Fruit stand” or “Detour sign”. The first complete line wins; the caller sheet is the host's checklist.
How long does Road Trip bingo take?
A Road Trip game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 12 moments (9-16 in 80% of simulated games). A blackout takes about 39; with 10 players the first line needs about 15.
Can I print Road Trip bingo cards for free?
Yes, up to 30 unique cards per set at no cost and without an account. Pick how many you need, then use Print cards or Download PDF: each card gets its own page with the title “Road Trip Bingo” on top, and the caller sheet lists all 43 moments in this set's shuffled order.
How do I make my own Road Trip bingo cards?
Start from this list: the 43 moments are already in the generator, so delete “Low fuel light” or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
