About Snacks bingo

A snack-time card covering what people actually reach for between meals: salty favorites like Popcorn, Pretzels and Tortilla chips with Salsa, after-school snacks such as Ants on a log, Apple slices and Graham crackers, and international options including Seaweed snacks, Rice crackers and Spring rolls. Every name is generic, so it works in classrooms, youth groups and office break rooms.

42 entries make up this Snacks set. With 24 per card, any single one, Toaster waffle for example, appears on about 57% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 17 of them have it.

Play it like classic bingo: one person reads the 42 entries in the shuffled order of the caller sheet, everyone marks matching squares, and a full row, column or diagonal wins.

Snacks bingo cards for 50, 100 or 200 players

A free set prints 30 unique cards, so a bigger room needs several sets (New shuffle makes the next one) or one Pro set of up to 1,000. The last two columns come from 150 shuffled games on cards 1-200 of this Snacks set, at 10 seconds a call.

Running Snacks bingo in a big room

  • Number the sets: print set 1, press New shuffle for set 2 and so on. 4 free sets cover 100 players and 7 cover 200; each set's share link reprints exactly the same cards.
  • Plan for shared wins: with 200 cards in play, 17% of simulated games had two or more cards complete a line on the same call (13% with 50). Keep spare prizes or a quick tie-break ready.
  • Expect short rounds: the first line comes around call 8 of 42 with 200 players, against call 12 with 30, so follow it with a blackout or a picture pattern.
  • Count the paper: at one card per page, 200 players need 200 sheets plus a caller sheet; Pro's 2-up and 4-up layouts cut that to 100 or 50.

How to host Snacks bingo

  1. Print the Snacks cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Guacamole, Ants on a log, Dried mango, Graham crackers and Animal crackers.

  2. Print the caller sheet

All 42 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Hard-boiled egg, Apple slices, Soft pretzel, Green olives and Graham crackers; tick each one as you read it out.

  3. Ask the class to sort calls into salty, sweet and fresh; Ants on a log usually splits the vote because it is all three at once.

  4. At an office or youth-group game, put a real bowl of Popcorn or Pretzels on each table and let players snack while they mark.

  5. Give younger children a 4x4 card with simple words such as Raisins, Crackers and Popcorn, and read the two-word snacks slowly.

  6. Call until someone shouts bingo

With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 12 (Potato chips in this set's order) and a blackout near call 38; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.

Snacks bingo variations

  • Snacks variation

Snack plan: a player wins by marking one crunchy, one creamy and one fruity snack plus any two others, then announcing their best snack plate, such as Pita chips, Guacamole and Dried mango.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Guacamole to Potato chips; on average one card fills after 41.3 of the 42 calls (98% of the deck).

  • Quick 4x4 round

A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 42 entries and no free space; one card is full after about 40.5 calls instead of 41.3.

First 15 calls of this Snacks set

Seed "snacks" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints. With these calls, card 12 of the first 30 completes the B column (Soft pretzel, Chocolate milk, Popcorn, Fruit snacks and Graham crackers) on call 9, and card 10 is the first full card on call 39.

Frequently asked questions

How many words are on the Snacks bingo list?

42, from Animal crackers to Yogurt tube. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 18. The shortest entry is Salsa (5 characters) and the longest is Peanut butter toast (19).

Are all Snacks bingo cards the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 12 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 2.19 × 10³⁵ different arrangements are possible from the 42 entries (353,697,121,050 different selections of 24).

How many Snacks bingo cards per person?

Usually one. Extra cards speed the game up only a little: on this list a first line took a median 12 calls with 30 cards in play, 11 with 60 (30 players on two cards each) and 15 with just 10. In a hall, extra cards per player only add checking: 200 cards in play already bring the first line to about call 8. For a bigger room, make a second set with New shuffle: two sets are not checked against each other, but with about 2.19 × 10³⁵ possible cards a repeat is vanishingly unlikely, and one caller sheet serves both because every set uses the same 42 entries.

How long does Snacks bingo take?

A Snacks game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 12 calls (9-15 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 38; with 10 players the first line needs about 15.

Can I print Snacks bingo cards for free?

Yes, up to 30 unique cards per set at no cost and without an account. Pick how many you need, then use Print cards or Download PDF: each card gets its own page with the title “Snacks Bingo” on top, and the caller sheet lists all 42 entries in this set's shuffled order.

How do I make my own Snacks bingo cards?

Start from this list: the 42 entries are already in the generator, so delete Cheese cubes or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
