About Wedding bingo

A wedding ceremony list that follows the day from the first look to the getaway car: the Officiant, Flower girl and Ring bearer, the Processional and Walk down the aisle, Personal vows, Exchanging rings and the First kiss, plus ceremony traditions such as the Unity candle, Sand ceremony and Handfasting. Guests can play quietly during the wait before the ceremony starts.

This Wedding list is 43 entries long and a 5x5 card with a free center takes 24, which leaves 19 off each card. That is why one entry (Processional, say) appears on about 17 of 30 cards: card 1, for instance, has no Officiant or Processional.

The caller reads the 43 entries from a shuffled caller sheet and players mark them; the first complete line (row, column or diagonal) wins.

This list was simulated 150 times in random call orders on its first 60 cards. A room of 30 usually has a line by call 13, which is about 2 minutes at 10 seconds a call, and a full card by call 39 of 43.

Wedding bingo cards for 50, 100 or 200 players

A free set prints 30 unique cards, so a bigger room needs several sets (New shuffle makes the next one) or one Pro set of up to 1,000. The last two columns come from 150 shuffled games on cards 1-200 of this Wedding set, at 10 seconds a call.

Running Wedding bingo in a big room

  • Number the sets: print set 1, press New shuffle for set 2 and so on. 4 free sets cover 100 players and 7 cover 200; each set's share link reprints exactly the same cards.
  • Plan for shared wins: with 200 cards in play, 29% of simulated games had two or more cards complete a line on the same call (24% with 50). Keep spare prizes or a quick tie-break ready.
  • Expect short rounds: the first line comes around call 9 of 43 with 200 players, against call 13 with 30, so follow it with a blackout or a picture pattern.
  • Count the paper: at one card per page, 200 players need 200 sheets plus a caller sheet; Pro's 2-up and 4-up layouts cut that to 100 or 50.

How to host Wedding bingo

  1. Print the Wedding cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Reserved seats, Flower arch, Ushers, Receiving line and Organ music.

  2. Print the caller sheet

All 43 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Getaway car, Handfasting, First look, Tissues for tears and Receiving line; tick each one as you read it out.

  3. Put cards on the reserved seats with a small pencil so guests can mark 'Wedding programs', 'Ushers' and 'Aisle runner' before the processional begins.

  4. Remove ceremony squares your couple is not using, for example 'Handfasting' or 'Sand ceremony', so every square can actually happen on the day.

  5. Ask guests to keep the game silent during the vows and let the bingo shout wait until the recessional or the cocktail hour.

  6. Call until someone shouts bingo

With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 13 (Corsage in this set's order) and a blackout near call 39; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.

Wedding bingo variations

  • Wedding variation

Ceremony timeline bingo: guests may mark squares only in the order they happen, so 'First look' must come before 'First kiss'. The first guest with a correct line in order wins a dance with the couple.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Reserved seats to Unity candle; on average one card fills after 42.2 of the 43 calls (98% of the deck).

  • Quick 4x4 round

A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 43 entries and no free space; one card is full after about 41.4 calls instead of 42.2.

First 15 calls of this Wedding set

Seed "wedding" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints. With these calls, card 2 of the first 30 completes row 4 (Handfasting, Videographer, Boutonniere, Receiving line and Tissues for tears) on call 11, and card 24 is the first full card on call 39.

Frequently asked questions

How many words are on the Wedding bingo list?

43, from Aisle runner to Wedding programs. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 19. The shortest entry is Veil (4 characters) and the longest is Walk down the aisle (19).

Are all Wedding bingo cards the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 13 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 4.97 × 10³⁵ different arrangements are possible from the 43 entries (800,472,431,850 different selections of 24).

How many Wedding bingo cards per person?

One card each is standard. In 150 simulated games of this list, 30 players on one card each got a first line after a median 13 calls; with two cards each (60 in play) it came after 11, and 10 single cards took 16. In a hall, extra cards per player only add checking: 200 cards in play already bring the first line to about call 9. For a bigger room, make a second set with New shuffle: two sets are not checked against each other, but with about 4.97 × 10³⁵ possible cards a repeat is vanishingly unlikely, and one caller sheet serves both because every set uses the same 43 entries.

How long does Wedding bingo take?

A Wedding game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 13 calls (9-16 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 39; with 10 players the first line needs about 16.

Can I print Wedding bingo cards for free?

Yes. The generator above makes up to 30 cards (5x5 cards with a free center) from the 43 entries; Print cards sends them to your printer and Download PDF saves one card per page, so 30 cards take 30 pages plus the caller sheet. It all runs in your browser with no sign-up.

How do I make my own Wedding bingo cards?

Open Edit words in the generator above: it already holds the 43 entries, one per line. Replace Videographer with something from your own group, add inside jokes or names, and the sample card redraws at once. 5x5 cards need 24 entries or more.
