About Spanish Classroom Words bingo
Spanish Classroom Words Bingo mixes the objects around a Spanish class, such as “el cuaderno”, “la pizarra” and “la papelera”, with the commands teachers use every day, like “siéntense”, “abran los libros” and “levanten la mano”, and the survival phrases students need, including “no entiendo” and “¿cómo se dice?”. It suits the first weeks of a new Spanish course.
This Spanish Classroom Words list is 40 entries long and a 5x5 card with a free center takes 24, which leaves 16 off each card. That is why one entry (el cuaderno, say) appears on about 18 of 30 cards: card 1, for instance, has no el cuaderno or la regla.
The caller reads the 40 entries from a shuffled caller sheet and players mark them; the first complete line (row, column or diagonal) wins.

How to host Spanish Classroom Words bingo
-
Print the Spanish Classroom Words cards
Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with levanten la mano, la calculadora, el escritorio, la maestra and el pegamento.
-
Print the caller sheet
All 40 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with el reloj, el libro, el diccionario, las tijeras and la regla; tick each one as you read it out.
-
Give the commands for real as you call them: say “levántense” and wait until the class stands, then “siéntense”, so the meaning sticks without translation.
-
Hold up the object as you call it, or point to it in the room, and let the first student to name it in Spanish make the next call.
-
Mention regional words: “la computadora” is “el ordenador” in Spain, “el bolígrafo” is often “la pluma” in Mexico, and “la goma” is the eraser.
-
Call until someone shouts bingo
With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 12 (la papelera in this set's order) and a blackout near call 37; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.
