About Holiday Party bingo

An inclusive holiday party card that works for any December celebration, not only Christmas: Invitations and RSVP, a Punch bowl and Mocktails, Deviled eggs and Spinach dip, a Party playlist and Karaoke, and the familiar end of the night with Long goodbyes and the Cleanup crew. It suits work parties, neighborhood get-togethers and friends' gatherings with mixed traditions.

45 entries make up this Holiday Party set. With 24 per card, any single one, Group photo for example, appears on about 53% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 16 of them have it.

A host reads out one entry at a time from the printed caller sheet (all 45 of them, shuffled); players daub the square if their card has it and call bingo on a full line.

Holiday Party bingo cards for 50, 100 or 200 players

A free set prints 30 unique cards, so a bigger room needs several sets (New shuffle makes the next one) or one Pro set of up to 1,000. The last two columns come from 150 shuffled games on cards 1-200 of this Holiday Party set, at 10 seconds a call.

Running Holiday Party bingo in a big room

  • Number the sets: print set 1, press New shuffle for set 2 and so on. 4 free sets cover 100 players and 7 cover 200; each set's share link reprints exactly the same cards.
  • Plan for shared wins: with 200 cards in play, 18% of simulated games had two or more cards complete a line on the same call (15% with 50). Keep spare prizes or a quick tie-break ready.
  • Expect short rounds: the first line comes around call 9 of 45 with 200 players, against call 13 with 30, so follow it with a blackout or a picture pattern.
  • Count the paper: at one card per page, 200 players need 200 sheets plus a caller sheet; Pro's 2-up and 4-up layouts cut that to 100 or 50.

How to host Holiday Party bingo

  1. Print the Holiday Party cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Name game, Pinwheels, Punch bowl, RSVP and Goodie bags.

  2. Print the caller sheet

All 45 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Appetizers, Shrimp cocktail, Extra chairs, Small talk and Meatballs; tick each one as you read it out.

  3. Hand cards out at the door with the name tags; early squares like Coat rack and Welcome drink help shy guests start chatting.

  4. Keep alcohol out of the squares on purpose; Sparkling cider and Mocktails let everyone play, and Designated driver is a square to celebrate.

  5. Ask the host to call the food squares as each tray comes out, from Sliders to the Dessert bar, which also spreads guests around the room.

  6. Call until someone shouts bingo

With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 13 (Long goodbyes in this set's order) and a blackout near call 41; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.

Holiday Party bingo variations

  • Holiday Party variation

Mingle bingo: each square must be signed by a different guest who did that thing, for example brought the Host gift or sang Karaoke. Guests mix more, and the first full line toasts the room.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Name game to Mocktails; on average one card fills after 44.2 of the 45 calls (98% of the deck).

  • Quick 4x4 round

A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 45 entries and no free space; one card is full after about 43.3 calls instead of 44.2.

First 15 calls of this Holiday Party set

Seed "holiday-party" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints. With these calls, card 3 of the first 30 completes the diagonal from the top left (Meatballs, Veggie tray, Karaoke and Name game) on call 10, and card 29 is the first full card on call 39.

Frequently asked questions

How many words are on the Holiday Party bingo list?

45, from Appetizers to Welcome drink. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 21. The shortest entry is RSVP (4 characters) and the longest is Overdressed guest (17).

Are all Holiday Party bingo cards the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 13 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 2.34 × 10³⁶ different arrangements are possible from the 45 entries (3,773,655,750,150 different selections of 24).

How many Holiday Party bingo cards per person?

Usually one. Extra cards speed the game up only a little: on this list a first line took a median 13 calls with 30 cards in play, 12 with 60 (30 players on two cards each) and 16 with just 10. In a hall, extra cards per player only add checking: 200 cards in play already bring the first line to about call 9. For a bigger room, make a second set with New shuffle: two sets are not checked against each other, but with about 2.34 × 10³⁶ possible cards a repeat is vanishingly unlikely, and one caller sheet serves both because every set uses the same 45 entries.

How long does Holiday Party bingo take?

A Holiday Party game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 13 calls (9-17 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 41; with 10 players the first line needs about 16.

Can I print Holiday Party bingo cards for free?

Yes. All 45 entries are loaded above, so choose a card count up to 30 and press Print cards, or Download PDF to print later at one card per sheet (30 sheets for a full set). The shuffled caller sheet prints separately; nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

How do I make my own Holiday Party bingo cards?

Open Edit words in the generator above: it already holds the 45 entries, one per line. Replace Appetizers with something from your own group, add inside jokes or names, and the sample card redraws at once. 5x5 cards need 24 entries or more.
