About Christmas bingo

This is the all-round Christmas list: 48 familiar words that cover Santa Claus and his Sleigh, the Christmas tree with its Tinsel and Garland, festive food like Eggnog and Fruitcake, and quieter symbols such as the Manger and the Advent calendar. It works for mixed ages at a family gathering, a classroom party or an adult get-together where nobody wants niche vocabulary.

48 entries make up this Christmas set. With 24 per card, any single one, Garland for example, appears on about 50% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 15 of them have it.

Play it like classic bingo: one person reads the 48 entries in the shuffled order of the caller sheet, everyone marks matching squares, and a full row, column or diagonal wins.

All 48 Christmas bingo words

Every entry from Advent calendar to Yule log, grouped by first letter. Edit them in the generator above: drop Manger if it does not suit your group, or add your own.

When to play Christmas bingo

Christmas 2026 falls on Friday, December 25. At home or at a party, play on Friday, December 25 itself. For a classroom round, schools close from December 24, so the last Friday before the break, December 18, is the usual slot.

In 2027 it falls on Saturday, December 25. Printing 30 cards at one card per page takes 30 sheets plus the caller sheet, so print a few days ahead and keep the share link (seed "christmas") to reprint the same set.

How long Christmas bingo lasts

150 shuffled call orders, played on the first 60 cards of this set. With 30 players the first line comes after a median 14 calls (about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds); the first blackout needs 44 calls (about 7 minutes).

How to host Christmas bingo

  1. Print the Christmas cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Presents, Snow globe, Pine cone, Carolers and Angel.

  2. Print the caller sheet

All 48 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Pine cone, Holly, Nativity, Stocking and Ornament; tick each one as you read it out.

  3. With mixed ages, let younger players hunt for picture-friendly squares like Snowman, Candy cane and Star while adults call the words aloud.

  4. Read each call twice and pause for a beat; similar squares such as Sleigh and Sleigh bells, or Candle and Christmas card, are easy to mix up.

  5. Before the game, point around the room at any real Wreath, Ornament or Poinsettia so players connect the words to the decorations they can see.

  6. Call until someone shouts bingo

With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 14 (Nutcracker in this set's order) and a blackout near call 44; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.
