About Team Building bingo

Team Building Bingo lists the activities that show up at offsites and away days, from a “Marshmallow tower” and “Egg drop challenge” to an “Escape room”, “Paint night” and the closing “Debrief circle”. Use it to plan an event, to let a group pick its next outing, or as a playful card that people fill in across a full retreat.

43 entries make up this Team Building set. With 24 per card, any single one, Lessons learned for example, appears on about 56% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 17 of them have it.

Play it like classic bingo: one person reads the 43 entries in the shuffled order of the caller sheet, everyone marks matching squares, and a full row, column or diagonal wins.

Team Building bingo cards for 50, 100 or 200 players

A free set prints 30 unique cards, so a bigger room needs several sets (New shuffle makes the next one) or one Pro set of up to 1,000. The last two columns come from 150 shuffled games on cards 1-200 of this Team Building set, at 10 seconds a call.

Running Team Building bingo in a big room

  • Number the sets: print set 1, press New shuffle for set 2 and so on. 4 free sets cover 100 players and 7 cover 200; each set's share link reprints exactly the same cards.
  • Plan for shared wins: with 200 cards in play, 21% of simulated games had two or more cards complete a line on the same call (15% with 50). Keep spare prizes or a quick tie-break ready.
  • Expect short rounds: the first line comes around call 9 of 43 with 200 players, against call 12 with 30, so follow it with a blackout or a picture pattern.
  • Count the paper: at one card per page, 200 players need 200 sheets plus a caller sheet; Pro's 2-up and 4-up layouts cut that to 100 or 50.

How to host Team Building bingo

  1. Print the Team Building cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Ropes course, Egg drop challenge, Gratitude round, Debrief circle and Two truths and a lie.

  2. Print the caller sheet

All 43 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Lessons learned, Cooking class, Trust exercise, Ropes course and Shared playlist; tick each one as you read it out.

  3. Use the card as a planning menu: each person circles five squares they would try, then book the most-circled options such as “Cooking class” or “Group hike”.

  4. At a multi-day retreat, hand cards out on day one and let teams mark activities like “Silent line-up” and “Improv game” as they complete them.

  5. Keep accessibility in mind and swap physical squares such as “Ropes course” or “Kayaking” for seated ones before printing if anyone on the team needs it.

  6. Call until someone shouts bingo

With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 12 (Drum circle in this set's order) and a blackout near call 39; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.

Team Building bingo variations

  • Team Building variation

Pass-the-card: each small team shares one card and must complete a diagonal, but every marked square needs a different teammate to explain what the group took away from it.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Ropes course to Pizza afterward; on average one card fills after 42.2 of the 43 calls (98% of the deck).

  • Quick 4x4 round

A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 43 entries and no free space; one card is full after about 41.4 calls instead of 42.2.

First 15 calls of this Team Building set

Seed "team-building" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints. With these calls, card 17 of the first 30 completes the diagonal from the top right (Cooking class, Picnic lunch, Trust exercise and Gratitude round) on call 13, and card 1 is the first full card on call 38.

Frequently asked questions

How many words are on the Team Building bingo list?

43, from Bake-off to Volunteer project. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 19. The shortest entry is Bake-off (8 characters) and the longest is Survival ranking game (21).

Are all Team Building bingo cards the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 14 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 4.97 × 10³⁵ different arrangements are possible from the 43 entries (800,472,431,850 different selections of 24).

How many Team Building bingo cards per person?

One card each is standard. In 150 simulated games of this list, 30 players on one card each got a first line after a median 12 calls; with two cards each (60 in play) it came after 11, and 10 single cards took 15. In a hall, extra cards per player only add checking: 200 cards in play already bring the first line to about call 9. For a bigger room, make a second set with New shuffle: two sets are not checked against each other, but with about 4.97 × 10³⁵ possible cards a repeat is vanishingly unlikely, and one caller sheet serves both because every set uses the same 43 entries.

How long does Team Building bingo take?

A Team Building game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 12 calls (9-16 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 39; with 10 players the first line needs about 15.

Can I print Team Building bingo cards for free?

Yes. The generator above makes up to 30 cards (5x5 cards with a free center) from the 43 entries; Print cards sends them to your printer and Download PDF saves one card per page, so 30 cards take 30 pages plus the caller sheet. It all runs in your browser with no sign-up.

How do I make my own Team Building bingo cards?

Start from this list: the 43 entries are already in the generator, so delete High fives or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
