About Wellness Challenge bingo

Wellness Challenge Bingo turns healthy habits into squares employees can complete over a week or a month: “Drink extra water”, “Take the stairs”, “Screen-free hour”, “Lunch away from desk”, “Gratitude list” and “Unplug after work”. It mixes movement, rest, food and mental health, so people with different fitness levels can all finish a row.

42 tasks make up this Wellness Challenge set. With 24 per card, any single one, “Phone-free meal” for example, appears on about 57% of the cards, so in a room of 30 players around 17 of them have it.

There is no caller: each player marks a square once they have done it, such as “Read for fun” or “Pack a lunch”, over an agreed week or month. A line takes 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center); a full card takes all 24.

Wellness Challenge bingo as a called game

For a one-session version, draw the 42 tasks at random like a classic game. 150 shuffled orders on this set's first 60 cards: with 30 players the first line comes after a median 13 calls (about 2 minutes at 10 seconds a call); a blackout needs 38.

How to play Wellness Challenge bingo

  1. Print the Wellness Challenge cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with “Screen-free hour”, “Eye rest break”, “Plank hold”, “Tidy your space” and “Dance break”.

  2. Agree on the time frame

Each player marks a square once it is done, such as “Read for fun” or “Pack a lunch”. Set the period first (a week, a month, a season); a line needs 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center) and a full card all 24.

  3. Run the challenge for two to four weeks and let players repeat squares on different days, so habits like “Stretch break” and “Deep breathing” stick.

  4. Keep it inclusive: every row should be possible without equipment or a gym, which is why “Desk push-ups” sits beside “Call a friend”.

  5. Use the honor system and avoid weight or calorie squares; a quick check-in about “Early bedtime” or “Cook at home” is enough.

  6. Check the card

Ask the winner what they did for each square on the line. A full card is 24 of the 42 tasks; card 1 of this set, for example, includes “Screen-free hour” and “Eye rest break”.

Wellness Challenge bingo variations

  • Wellness Challenge variation

Team blackout: departments share one card and each person adds marks across the month, aiming for a full blackout; any full row earns the team a shared “Time outdoors” walking meeting.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 tasks, “Screen-free hour” to “Posture check”; over a 30-day month that is about 5.6 tasks a week.

  • Quick 4x4 round

A 4x4 card has 16 squares and no free space, so a full card needs 16 tasks instead of 24; lines take 4.

First 15 entries on the Wellness Challenge caller sheet

Seed "wellness-challenge" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints (use it as a checklist, or call from it). With these entries in this order, card 19 of the first 30 completes the diagonal from the top left (“Read for fun”, “Healthy breakfast”, “Posture check” and “Tidy your space”) on entry 12, and card 29 is the first full card on entry 38.

Frequently asked questions

How many tasks are on the Wellness Challenge bingo list?

42, from Bedtime routine to Yoga pose. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 18. The shortest entry is Wall sit (8 characters) and the longest is Meditate five minutes (21).

Are all Wellness Challenge bingo cards the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 14 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 2.19 × 10³⁵ different arrangements are possible from the 42 tasks (353,697,121,050 different selections of 24).

How many Wellness Challenge bingo cards per person?

One card per player: each card is a personal checklist of 24 tasks. A free set of 30 cards covers 30 players, and New shuffle makes another set for a bigger group.

How do you play Wellness Challenge bingo?

There is no caller: each player marks a square once they have done it, such as “Read for fun” or “Pack a lunch”, over an agreed week or month. A line takes 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center); a full card takes all 24.

Can I print Wellness Challenge bingo cards for free?

Yes. All 42 tasks are loaded above, so choose a card count up to 30 and press Print cards, or Download PDF to print later at one card per sheet (30 sheets for a full set). The shuffled caller sheet prints separately; nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

How do I make my own Wellness Challenge bingo cards?

Start from this list: the 42 tasks are already in the generator, so delete “Deep breathing” or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
